Pipeline Drying...
On completion of hydrotesting, pipelines may require drying to exceptionally low dewpoints, to prevent hydrate formation, internal corrosion, freezing and product contamination.
HTC Ltd is backed by our sister company Airtechnique Services Ltd. Combined with our pigging expertise, we are able to offer a world-class comprehensive pipeline drying service to our Clients.
We can provide single application desiccant drying (super-dry air) spreads in excess of 9,000CFM to 24 bar.
We have a range of desiccant dryer units and aftercoolers from 100CFM to 1500CFM.
For special applications where desiccant drying is unsuitable, usually where indirect purging to an inert atmosphere is required post drying, we have vacuum drying equipment ranging from 280 to 1200m 3 /hr.
We own a range of dewpoint instrumentation to monitor and record the pipeline drying process.
HTC Ltd has led the way in the desiccant drying process, most notably in the field of testing and drying aviation fuel pipelines.
HTC Ltd provided input to the Institute of Petroleum in the publication of specification IP 1594 "Internal Pressure Strength Testing of Airport Fuel Hydrant Systems with Water".
This has led to the pressure testing of aviation fuel pipelines with water and subsequent drying prior to commissioning, instead of using aviation fuel in the pressure testing process, with it's inherent difficulties and potential environmental impact.
